I sent three of my sons (ages8, 9, & 11) this summer (June 2026) for a week of fish camp to First Mate Academy. They all three had a great week and learned a lot about fishing, boat skills/ safety/ knot tying, and general ocean boating knowledge. Captain Andie and his team kept them all engaged throughout the week. Best part was getting to eat what they caught at lunch on Friday. As a parent I very much appreciated the hot lunch that was included with the week admission. Would highly recommend First Mate Academy if you have a child interested in fishing.
